To help us create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone at the table, we kindly ask families to keep the following in mind:

  • Children must remain with a parent or supervising adult at all times, including when visiting the restroom.

  • Children should remain seated throughout the tea experience. Our service includes hot water and hot teapots, and our team is frequently moving throughout the room while serving. For their safety, children may not walk or run throughout the tea room during service.

  • Please keep feet off the furniture and help us care for the beautiful pieces throughout the tea room. We understand some chairs/sofas are larger so their feet may naturally be on the furniture. We ask no standing on the furniture when possible.

  • We kindly ask that markers, crayons, pens, and other coloring supplies not be used in the tea room.

  • Parents and supervising adults are responsible for helping their children follow tea room etiquette throughout their visit.

We also know that sitting through afternoon tea can be a lot for little ones! If your child needs to get some wiggles out, you are absolutely welcome to step outside together for a few minutes or take a little walk through our Gift Shop. There is no rush,  we will not clear your place or pick up your table while you step away. Simply return when your child is ready to rejoin tea.

We want children to feel welcome at our table while also keeping them safe and caring for the space for all to enjoy. Thank you for helping us create a lovely afternoon tea experience for guests of every age.
