The Manners Lab is a fun and unique program designed to build confidence while promoting good manners and civility in children and teens. Since 1997, we have had the privilege of conducting workshops and programs in schools and for youth groups to thousands of children and teenagers throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The Manners Lab is the youth division of Christine Chen Consulting, a consulting firm dedicated to providing protocol, etiquette, and customer service programs to businesses, corporations, healthcare facilities, and universities.

About Christine Chen, founder and creator of The Manners Lab

Christine Chen is a speaker, consultant, and trainer who has been teaching manners and etiquette to children and teens for over two decades. She has made it her mission to emphasize the vital role of instilling respect, self-confidence and kindness in children which paves the path towards future success. Her belief is that children grasp these principles most effectively when they are presented in an engaging and meaningful way. Lucy Goes to a Tea Party is the first book in a series of mannerly reminders for children. Through delightful characters, meaningful stories, and beautiful illustrations, children are captivated while learning lessons that last a lifetime. The Manners Lab is the youth division of Chen’s corporate business, Christine Chen Consulting.

Dropping off children?

At this time, you will need to be present during the class. This is why we are including an afternoon tea experience for you and your child. You may add-on an additional adult to the experience to join you for tea while you wait.
